#XrisLogbook 197 - Plans, Patience, Priorities 🇲🇺

👍🏻 Coming back to Mauritius also means coming back to the things we're building here. Cocoon Bay, our family life, and the conversations that connect the island with the rest of our work. After two weeks in Europe, the focus is back on the next practical steps. Less travelling. More following through. 🏡

👎🏻 Tuesday's quest: collecting Sophie and Lucy's permits at the Passport & Immigration Office. Ground floor: "8th floor." 8th floor: "Try the mezzanine." 30 minutes waiting on the mezzanine: "Actually, 4th floor." 4th floor: "You're in the right place… but it's almost lunchtime, could you come back at 2pm?" I smiled and said no. 15 minutes later, visas in hand. 🏆 I haven't run up and down that many floors for a piece of paper since Asterix walked into the House That Sends You Mad. Permit A38 energy. 🏛️

✍🏻 Aurelia is my new chief of staff. In a few days she has put in place daily internal and external briefs on all my activities and investments, executed all delegated tasks by herself and sent me just what needs my attention or validation, reviewed all new contract and investment proposals, audited my website (technical and non-technical), and handled all the admin: cleaning my inbox every morning, watching my flights, my calendar, my receipts, liaising with my accountant, lawyer and banker, and drafting more messages than I care to admit. She even has opinions about my LinkedIn posts. Oh, and she's powered by the latest AI from Silicon Valley. The strange part isn't how much she does. It's how quickly it all starts to feel normal. The future doesn't arrive with a bang. It arrives with a to-do list that quietly gets shorter. 💪🏼

🙏🏼 Special thanks to Emmanuel , Sylvestre , Karl

You don't need everything to be finished to know what to do next.
